Sadeem International and Tungsram Group signed an MoU

On October 30, 2019. Sadeem and Tungsram signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create mutual opportunities and constructive strategic relationship that foster innovation and integration of technological solutions between the two global companies.

Joerg Bauer, Tungsram President and CEO and the Chairman of the Saudi Hungarian Business Council, and Mustafa Mousa, Sadeem CEO, signed the MoU during the ceremony at the Hungarian Embassy in Riyadh on October 30th.

Ceremony Remarks

“With Tungsram world’s leading edge in the electronics and lighting systems industry, our systems integration is specifically significant that Sadeem sensors could be part of any lighting system in the 100+ global markets that Tungsram is in, ensuring the sense of smart cities. Therefore, we are pleased to start this collaboration towards a positive global impact,” Mousa said.

“We will bring our state of the art, multi-patented technology to expand Tungsram portfolio and capabilities. Essentially, integrate Sadeem and Tungsram solutions in the street poles and enable traffic, floods and air quality monitoring. Then establish an R&D roadmap to develop new solution, while examining the potential in the Saudi Market,” Mousa added.
President and CEO of Tungsram, Joerg Bauer is also optimistic about this collaboration. He said, “With our long-term focus on partnering with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and contributing to its 2030 vision, we are particularly proud today to join forces with an innovative Saudi startup that offers excellent solutions that are competitive beyond the borders of its home country. Complementing our smart city solutions based on intelligent street lighting, we aim to integrate Sadeem’s solutions into our global portfolio creating more livable, more sustainable cities with happier citizens.”
